The Brief
The owner of a private villa in Dubai's Emirates Hills sought a wellness installation that would integrate seamlessly into an existing mature garden, complementing the property's contemporary Arabic architectural style.
The primary requirements were: a premium hydrotherapy experience for daily personal use, smart home integration with the existing Apple HomeKit ecosystem, and aesthetics that would blend naturally with the garden's landscaping.
With Dubai's extreme climate — summer temperatures regularly exceeding 45°C and winter nights dropping to 15°C — thermal performance and energy efficiency were critical considerations.
The Challenge
- Dubai's 30°C day-to-night temperature swings required superior thermal insulation to maintain consistent water temperature without excessive energy consumption.
- The client required full integration with Apple HomeKit for remote monitoring and control, which is not a standard feature of commercial spa control systems.
- The installation site was in an established garden with mature trees, meaning all equipment had to be maneuvered through narrow access paths without heavy machinery.
The Aqua Lux Pro Solution
Aqua Lux Pro specified a 316 stainless steel AP SWIM SPA-S with reinforced thermal insulation and a high-ambient-temperature-rated heat pump capable of efficient operation even during peak summer conditions.
A custom adapter module was developed to bridge the spa's native control protocol with Apple HomeKit, enabling the owner to monitor temperature, control jets and lighting, and schedule filtration cycles from their iPhone and Apple Watch.
The unit was delivered via manual transport through the garden access path, with the compact modular design of the SPA-S proving essential for navigating the tight clearance between mature trees and garden structures.

Project Outcome
[Pending client approval] The installation was completed in early 2026. Initial feedback indicates the thermal package is performing above expectations during the summer months, with energy consumption 30% lower than comparable installations using standard insulation.
