Is 316 grade mandatory for Middle East installations?
316 stainless steel is strongly recommended for virtually all Middle East commercial installations. The combination of high ambient temperatures, aggressive pool chemical dosing schedules, salt air (Arabian Gulf and Red Sea), and intense UV exposure makes 316 the appropriate specification. 304 grade is only suitable for fully indoor, temperature-controlled environments with freshwater systems.
What is the UAE import duty rate?
The GCC standard import duty rate is 5% of CIF value. This applies uniformly across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain. For Israel and other non-GCC Middle East markets, duty rates differ — consult your local customs broker for current rates applicable to HS code 9506.99.9000.
